Wi-tribe introduction:
Wi-tribe is an emerging broadband wireless access (BWA) provider, offering its services in the markets of Jordan and has recently ventured into Pakistan. Wi-tribe was formed in April 2007, when two market leading companies namely Qatar Telecommunications (Q-Tel) and A.A.Turki Group of Companies (ATCO) made a proactive partnership. First they expanded their services to Jordan in 2008 and recently they entered Pakistan market.

Technology used by Wi-tribe is called world wide inter operability for microwave access or simply WI-MAX. Wi-tribe offers broadband via microwave signals instead of old traditional copper cable used by ADSL. Although Wi-MAX has been launched by Wateen in Pakistan but today after about two and half years of their launch we still call our WI-MAX market a fledgling one. Now to give energy to this rotten Pakistani Wi-max market Wi-tribe has been launched.

Wi-max services are fully wireless and thus suitable for connecting Wi-FI spots to the internet. Another mind capturing Wi-max feature is quality Voice over IP service (VoIP). Voip service is actually to transport voice via internet instead of telephones. Thus Voip is better termed as Internet telephony. Wi-max offered by Wi-tribe masters in this technology. Moreover Wi-max has extensive mobile handset applications. Wi-max can also serve as a best possible replacement of cellular phone technologies like CDMA and GSM. Wi-Tribe Pakistan setup and packages:
Wi-tribe has been launched on June 30, 2009 in four major cities of Pakistan namely Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Pakistan is the largest market of Wi-Tribe to the date. The whole network of Wi-tribe in Pakistan has been deployed by MOTOROLA. Motorola Company provided all the infrastructure and service packages that is enabling cost-effective wireless internet services. Motorola used its award winning equipment WAP 400 Wi-Max access points. The most attractive feature of this access point is MIMO antenna capabilities for excellent indoor connectivity. Q-Tel and ATCO purchased the stakes of BURRAQ telecomm to develop wireless broadband services in Pakistan.
Coming to the packages: Wi-tribe offers 7 day free trial to users hence giving them full chance of satisfying themselves before getting registered. As Wi-Tribe is newly launched in Pakistan so its packages are limited but surely they will introduce more packages and offers as they go ahead.

Qatar telecomm(Wi-max producer in pakistan) is always best in their services…I can assure this to any one who is just confused about wi-tribe service and quality..i am using their wireless internet service in qatar for a long time. Based on this wonderfull experience i would love to use same company product(Wi-TRIBE), if i ever happen to settle in pakistan.

As i am using DSL with very low cost about 800PKR per month for 1Mbps connection. Ya one more thing.. with unlimited volume…
in that case its little expensive for me…

hey ………these all connections are to much expensive …… i m using 3mb connection and paying only 1200 monthly with ulimited volume …….thumbs to my connection provider…
any body can tell me abt which company is going gud in qaulity wi-tribe or wateen ,m satisfied with ptcl but i want 2 switch on wimax technology bcz i want 2 use my laptop through wifi n pc .i went wi-tribe outlet gulistan–jauhar karachi i checkd their service ,that was excellent speed (512kb).
but m confusing which one is best ??????????? bcz there r so many people against wi-tribe.

yah man its little bit good but its become failed in flat type area espacially like in karachi their are much more flats where any wifi type internet signal will become tired and weak….
its good man yeah bit some time its fucked off…
its 15 days dealing because after 15 days its service is bothering like wateen…
