
Siemens Pakistan’s net profit cut down to 20.1 percent to Rs. 697 million during the nine-month period that ended June 30 from Rs. 873 million in the same period of last year. The company announced earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 54.15 for the period, a statement said on Friday.
The decline in profit can be ascribed to the fall in sales to Rs. 20.821 billion during the period from Rs. 28.220 billion in the corresponding period of last year. The finance cost during the period surged to Rs. 205.262 million from Rs120.9 million last year.
For the quarter that ended on June 30, the company’s profit stood at Rs168.387 million, translating into an EPS of Rs20.42 compared with profit of Rs503.99 million and EPS of Rs61.11 during the corresponding period last year, the statement added.
